Pell Changes His Tune

In this week’s public hearing Cardinal Pell stated that victims of child sexual abuse should be able to sue the catholic church for damages. This is a far cry from Pell’s response to clergy abuse victim, Mr John Ellis in 2002 when Pell wrote to Mr Ellis saying that there was nothing the Archdiocese could do for him. Mr Ellis told the Commission this week that, “I felt that the door had slammed in my face.”
